FK Law Submits Amicus Brief to IL Supreme Court On Behalf of Active Transportation Alliance In Alave v. City of Chicago

Last week the Illinois Supreme notified the parties that it has accepted amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs from Illinois based bicycle advocacy groups Ride Illinois and Active Transportation Alliance (ATA). The Court also accept an amicus brief from the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. FK Law partner, Brendan Kevenides, wrote and submitted the amicus brief on behalf of ATA. All three amicus briefs, plus the main brief, argued for broadening Chicago’s liability to bicyclists injured by road hazards.
